Dr. Azeezat YishawuSenior Special Assistant to the Honorable Minister of Youth (Policy, Development & Analysis), Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Nigeria
Azeezat Yishawu is a Medical Doctor and and the first female speaker of the Nigerian youth parliament with over 6 years of active experience in grassroots mobilization, citizen engagement, and stakeholder management. She has worked with NGOs like Involve Africa, Constitution Lab, etc. to advance democracy and human rights.
Her current project ; PVC4HER campaign in Lagos is sponsored by the US consulate to empower young women to effectively participate in Election. She is a Carrington Youth Alumnae, a Fellow at the USA International Visitor Leadership Program and the Young Women Political Leadership School. Former Member Lagos state youth Parliament, Former speaker Lasumsa Senate
As an advocate for good governance and expert at galvanizing resources for quality political leadership- especially for young people-, she has consistently worked on impactful projects and championed frontline conversations focused on such. She mentors many young people, as she believes that their energy and potential, if properly harnessed, can serve as a catalyst for exponential sustainable development.
Azeezat is the Founder of Ethics and Political Leadership Foundation- an NGO committed to driving effective democracy, good governance in Nigeria; and Co-founder of ConstitutionLab- a youth led organization committed to providing Nigerians with working knowledge of the Nigeria Constitution.
Dr. Yishawu will share how public policy and digital innovation can empower young Nigerians to play a bigger role in nation building.

Abimbola LawalExecutive Director, SiidAfrica Initiatives for Youth Development
Abimbola Lawal is the Executive Director of SiidAfrica Initiatives for Youth Development, a youth-led nonprofit driving innovation, governance, and civic engagement across Nigeria. Her journey within SiidAfrica reflects a story of dedication, resilience, and visionary leadership. Having begun her service as a Program Associate, Abimbola steadily rose through the ranks serving as Program Officer, then Operations Manager, and now leading the organization as its Executive Director.
In every role, Abimbola has been instrumental in shaping and expanding SiidAfricaβs flagship initiatives. As Program Officer, she played a critical role in program implementation, most notably in the AI Revolution Youth Project, a groundbreaking collaboration with Coappt Solutions, American Corner Ikeja, Tech4Dev, Ayisat Ajoke Afolabi Foundation, and Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC). Through this project, more than 3,400 young people across six major Lagos institutions were reached, with over 600 students trained in workshops and a focused AI Bootcamp for 60 students.
Beyond SiidAfrica, Abimbola also serves as Director of Programs and Partnerships at Coappt, a social innovation and digital transformation company, where she continues to bridge technology with social impact.
Her progression is a testament to her vision for grassroots engagement, raising trans-generational leaders, and creating strategic pathways for growth.
